An education loan for the UK pays for tuition, living costs, travel and insurance, within the lender's limits. For a student in Amritsar the questions are how much to borrow for the whole course, whether to offer collateral, and when the sanction must be ready for the UK Student visa. DreamDestination works through all three with you at no charge and takes no commission from lenders. Approval is the lender's decision.
Lenders do not assess "UK" — they assess a particular university, a particular course and a particular co-applicant. For a student in Amritsar the useful question is which lenders fund that university for that course, and on what terms, before a single application is made.

What an Education Loan for UK Covers
Education loan for UK from Amritsar — the costs to plan for
Most UK master's degrees last one year, so the full cost falls in a single period: tuition, typically ₹20-50L/year, plus living costs that are higher in London than elsewhere. A one-year course also means repayment begins sooner than on a two-year programme.
Add tuition for every term, living costs for every month, insurance, travel and visa fees, then subtract family savings and any scholarship. The remainder is the loan. Within the lender's limits, an education loan for the UK can cover:
Tuition and course fees paid to the university
Accommodation and reasonable living expenses
One-way airfare and travel costs
Student health and travel insurance
Books, equipment and a laptop where the course needs one
Exam, library and lab fees; refundable deposits within lender limits
Nothing in this service needs a visit from Amritsar. You share documents digitally and meet your counsellor by video call or phone, at a time that suits a student or someone in a job. The process and the person are the same as for a student in a metro.
This page is for students in Amritsar who hold, or expect, an offer from a university in the UK, and for the parents who will be co-applicants on the loan. The same service is available to students in Bathinda, Muktsar, Mohali and Jalandhar, and across the rest of Punjab.
How an education loan is used as proof of funds for the UK
For the UK Student visa you must show the unpaid part of the first year's fees plus living costs, in a form the rules accept. Money in a bank account must have been held for 28 consecutive days; an education loan letter from a recognised lender is an alternative, provided its wording meets the requirement. The university issues the CAS once you have accepted the offer and usually paid a deposit, so the deposit has to be found before the loan is disbursed.
Deposit paid before the CAS is issued
Unpaid first-year fees plus living costs shown
Savings held for 28 consecutive days, or a compliant loan letter
There are two routes. With collateral the limit is higher and the decision rests partly on the security. Without it, the lender relies on the co-applicant and on its own view of the university and course, and caps the amount accordingly. For a family in Amritsar the choice follows from how much is needed.
We are an education consultancy, not a bank, NBFC or lending agent, and we take no commission from any lender. Approval, amount, interest rate and collateral requirements are always the lender's decision.
We could not verify a current Punjab-specific education loan or interest subsidy scheme for study abroad from a reliable public source, so we do not quote one. Central arrangements such as the Credit Guarantee Fund Scheme for Education Loans may still apply; ask your lender, and check with the Punjab higher education or social welfare department.
The loan follows the admission. If you have not yet settled on a university in the UK, the shortlist should be built with funding in mind: the same course at two universities can lead to very different amounts and very different answers from lenders.
