Students in Vadodara can fund a course in Germany with an education loan from a public sector bank, private bank or NBFC, secured or unsecured. Germany's public universities charge no tuition — education loans typically cover living costs, blocked account and travel. The lender decides on the university and course, your academic record and the co-applicant's income and credit. DreamDestination helps you fix the amount, choose the route and time the sanction for the National Visa for Study Purposes, free of charge. We are not a lender.
Lenders do not assess "Germany" — they assess a particular university, a particular course and a particular co-applicant. For a student in Vadodara the useful question is which lenders fund that university for that course, and on what terms, before a single application is made.

What an Education Loan for Germany Covers
Education loan for Germany from Vadodara — the costs to plan for
Germany's public universities generally charge no tuition, so a loan for Germany is mostly about living costs: the blocked account, the semester contribution, health insurance and travel. Private universities do charge fees, and the loan then looks more like one for any other country. Typical tuition range: ₹0-20L/year (public unis often tuition-free).
The amount to borrow is the cost of the whole course less what you can pay yourself. Count every term's fees and every month's living expenses, plus insurance, flights and the visa. Subject to each lender's own caps, the loan can pay for:
Tuition and course fees paid to the university
Accommodation and reasonable living expenses
One-way airfare and travel costs
Student health and travel insurance
Books, equipment and a laptop where the course needs one
Exam, library and lab fees; refundable deposits within lender limits
Nothing in this service needs a visit from Vadodara. You share documents digitally and meet your counsellor by video call or phone, at a time that suits a student or someone in a job. The process and the person are the same as for a student in a metro.
This page is for students in Vadodara who hold, or expect, an offer from a university in Germany, and for the parents who will be co-applicants on the loan. Vadodara is also searched as Baroda. The same service is available to students in Vapi, Vesu, Navsari and Gandhinagar, and across the rest of Gujarat.
The Blocked Account and Proof of Funds for Germany
How an education loan funds the blocked account
For the German student visa you must show that you can support yourself, and the usual way is a blocked account (Sperrkonto) holding a year's living costs, from which a fixed amount is released each month. The amount is set by the German authorities and revised from time to time; our Germany guide carries the current figure. Because the account must be funded before the visa appointment, the loan has to be sanctioned — and that part disbursed — earlier than students expect.

Public universities: little or no tuition, a semester contribution each term
Secured or Unsecured: Choosing the Route for Germany
A secured loan is backed by property or a deposit and generally allows a higher amount; an unsecured loan rests on the co-applicant's income and credit and on how the lender rates the university and course. Which suits a student in Vadodara depends on the size of the funding gap and on what the family is prepared to pledge.
We are an education consultancy, not a bank, NBFC or lending agent, and we take no commission from any lender. Approval, amount, interest rate and collateral requirements are always the lender's decision.
Students domiciled in Gujarat may be able to use the Gujarat Educational Loan Scheme (GELS), administered by Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat / State Education Department. Loans reported up to ₹15 lakh at around 4% p.a., repayable over 10 years after course completion. Some sources describe an interest subsidy for economically weaker Gujarat-domiciled students going abroad. Eligibility: Gujarat domicile; economically weaker section criteria apply. Terms change, so confirm the current rules with the administering department before you rely on it.
The loan follows the admission. If you have not yet settled on a university in Germany, the shortlist should be built with funding in mind: the same course at two universities can lead to very different amounts and very different answers from lenders.
